Phyllis (formerly Boone & Williams) Robinson

Phyllis Boone was part of the Product of Time and the Georgettes on the Yodi label. She was also one half of the duo (the other being Mary Anderson) called the International Hook-up who sang with Gene Anderson (cousin). Two notable songs that she was on as part of the International Hook-Up produced on Hi Records were 'Congratulations' and 'Mixed Emotions' (of which there is a D. Williams listed as a co-writer which is Dauphin Williams).

Phyllis now resides in the Washington, DC Metro area.

Dauphin Williams (also known as Daphine or Dauphine)

Through marriage to my mother he had me and my brother (Dauphin Jr.). They were married from about 1971 until 1983.

He currently resides in California and is excited to hear about the renewed interest in his music.

His singles 'I Love You' and 'I'm Your Man' have been rereleased by Numero Group on a CD entitled 'Eccentric Soul: The Young Disciples' which is currently for sale in stores and online at Itunes, Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, the Numero Group website. The CD booklet contains a lot of photos and historical information about the label and its artists. My father is featured on the CD cover singing lead along with other members from the Debonairs I believe.

Intro

I created this blog to put some information on the internet about my parent's music, Dauphin Williams and Phyllis (maiden: Boone/1st marriage: Williams) Robinson, due to renewed interest in the soul music from the 60's and 70's created in the St. Louis, MO and East St. Louis, IL area.
